Al-Duha (The Morning Brightness)
Translation
Verses 1-11
[
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
وَالضُّحَىٰ (1)
By the morning brightness.
[Al Quran ; 93:1]
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ (2)
And (by) the night when it darkens.
[Al Quran ; 93:2]
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ (3)
Your Lord has not left you nor has He become displeased.
[Al Quran ; 93:3]
وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنَ الْأُولَىٰ (4)
And the hereafter is surely better for you than the former life.
[Al Quran ; 93:4]
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ (5)
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be pleased.
[Al Quran ; 93:5]
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ (6)
Did He not find you an orphan and provided refuge?
[Al Quran ; 93:6]
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ (7)
And found you misguided and guided (you)?
[Al Quran ; 93:7]
وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ (8)
And found you carer (of others) and enriched (you)?
[Al Quran ; 93:8]
فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ (9)
So as for the orphan, do not oppress.
[Al Quran ; 93:9]
وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ (10)
And as for one who asks, do not rebuff.
[Al Quran ; 93:10]
وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ (11)
And as for the favour of your Lord, inform (others).
[Al Quran ; 93:11]
