Ahmed, I need you to do an exhaustive search of the Arabic word that is used for "raised" or "raising" in the Quran. I want you to investigate historically as to whether or not the same word is interchangeable with the word used for "resurrect/resurrected/resurrection."
Take a scholarly approach to this task, and then present your findings here.

Hello mate
I dont need to to research it, I know it cannot be used to mean resurrect/resurrected/resurrection, therefore it cannot be found in the Quran to mean so. the Arabic word is رفع, which to mean to raise something above another, it has nothing to do with rasurrection, in fact the word appeared in the Quran abour 22 times, in all times it means to raise something above another
Cheers

The following are just a few of many many verses where the word "raised" is used to directly refer to resurrecting.
Does man think that he will be left to himself uncontrolled (without purpose)? Was he not a drop of fluid which gushed forth? Then he became a clinging clot; then He shaped and fashioned, and made of him a pair, the male and female. Is He then not able to raise the dead to life? (75:36-40)
"But whosoever turns away from My Reminder verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection."

All those verses use the Arabic word of raise/lift/rise to imply the meaning of "resurrection from the dead." |

You are certainly drunk, the Quran is in Arabic, mister. And none of your words exists in 4:159 _________________ http://free-islam.com |
