Al-Fil (The Elephant)
Translation
Verses 1-5
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ (1)
Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
[Al Quran ; 105:1]
أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ (2)
Did He not make their plan into misguidance?
[Al Quran ; 105:2]
وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ (3)
And He sent over them birds in flocks.
[Al Quran ; 105:3]
تَرْمِيهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِنْ سِجِّيلٍ (4)
Throwing at them stones of backed clay.
[Al Quran ; 105:4]
فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَأْكُولٍ (5)
And He made them like eaten straw.
[Al Quran ; 105:5]
