Al-Aadyat (The Racers)
Translation
Verses 1-11
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا (1)
By the racers (horses), panting.
[Al Quran ; 100:1]
فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا (2)
And those that produce spark of striking.
[Al Quran ; 100:2]
فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا (3)
And those that make raid in the morning.
[Al Quran ; 100:3]
فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِ نَقْعًا (4)
And stirring thereby dust.
[Al Quran ; 100:4]
فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِ جَمْعًا (5)
So they made it in the midst of the (enemy) gathering.
[Al Quran ; 100:5]
إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنُودٌ (6)
Indeed, the human is, to his Lord, unappreciative.
[Al Quran ; 100:6]
وَإِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ (7)
And indeed, he will be upon that a witness.
[Al Quran ; 100:7]
وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ (8)
And indeed, he is, for the love of goodness, intense.
[Al Quran ; 100:8]
أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي الْقُبُورِ (9)
So, does he know that when whatever is in the graves will be scattered.
[Al Quran ; 100:9]
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُورِ (10)
And whatever is in the chests will be summed.
[Al Quran ; 100:10]
إِنَّ رَبَّهُمْ بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَخَبِيرٌ (11)
Indeed, their Lord with them, on that day, is Acquainted.
[Al Quran ; 100:11]
