Valuable to warn of a severe distress from Him and give good tidings to the believers who do good deeds that for them will be a good reward. [Al Quran ; 18:2]
They have no knowledge of it, nor had their fathers. Grave is the word that comes out of their mouths; indeed, they say nothing except lies. [Al Quran ; 18:5]
We narrate to you their story in truth; indeed, they were youths who have believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance. [Al Quran ; 18:13]
And We bound their hearts when they stood up and said: Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, we will never call other than Him any god; for then we would have said an enormity. [Al Quran ; 18:14]
These, our people have taken other than Him gods; why do they not produce to them an obvious authority? And who is more unjust than one who forges against Allah lies? [Al Quran ; 18:15]
And when you stay away from them and what they worship except Allah, then retreat to the cave; your Lord will spread for you from His mercy and prepare for you from your affair a facility. [Al Quran ; 18:16]
And you see the sun when it rose visiting their cave towards the right hand, and when it set inclining away from them towards the left, while they were in a cavity thereof. That was from the signs of Allah. Whoever Allah guides, he is guided, and whoever He misguides, then you will not find for him a guardian to guide. [Al Quran ; 18:17]
And you would think of them awake while they were asleep; and We turn them to the right and to the left while their dog outstretching its forelegs at the entrance. If you had looked at them, you would have turned away from them fleeing and been filled by them with horror. [Al Quran ; 18:18]
And thus did We awake them that they might question one another. A speaker among them said: How long have you remained? They said: We have remained a day or a part of a day. (Others) said: Your Lord is most Knowing how long you have remained. So send one of you with this silver coin of yours to the city, then let him look to which is the best of food and bring you provision from it, and let him make no one be aware of you. [Al Quran ; 18:19]
And thus did We cause them to be found that they (who found them) might know that the promise of Allah is truthful and that for the hour, there is no doubt about it. When they disputed among themselves about their affair and said: Build over them a structure, their Lord is most Knowing of them. Those who prevailed in their affair said: We will surely take over them a mosque. [Al Quran ; 18:21]
They will say: Three, their fourth is their dog; and (others) say: Five, their sixth is their dog, guessing the unknown. And (others) say: Seven and their eighth is their dog. Say: My Lord is most Knowing their count; none knows them except a few. So do not argue about them except with an obvious argument and do not ask about them anyone among them. [Al Quran ; 18:22]
Except if Allah wills. And remember your Lord when you forget and say: Hopefully my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to guidance. [Al Quran ; 18:24]
Say: Allah is most Knowing how long they remained. To Him belongs the unknown of the heavens and the earth. How Seeing is He and how Hearing. They do not have other than Him any guardian; and He does not associate with His judgment anyone. [Al Quran ; 18:26]
And recite what has been revealed to you from the book of your Lord, there is no changing to His words. And never will you find in other than Him a refuge. [Al Quran ; 18:27]
And be patient with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening; they desire His direction. And let not your eyes pass beyond them; you desire the adornment of the life of this world, and do not obey one whose heart We have made unaware of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever negligent. [Al Quran ; 18:28]
And say: The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills let him believe, and whoever wills let him disbelieve. Indeed, We have prepared for the unjust people a fire whose walls will surround them; and if they call for help, they will be helped with water like molten brass which scalds the faces. Miserable is the drink and bad is the resting place. [Al Quran ; 18:29]
It is them for whom there will be gardens of Eden, beneath which rivers flow; they will be adorned therein by bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments of fine silk and brocade, reclining therein on recliners. Excellent is the reward and good is the resting place. [Al Quran ; 18:31]
And strike for them an example of two men: We made for one of them two gardens of vines and surrounded them with palm trees and made between them plants. [Al Quran ; 18:32]
And he had plant produce, so he said to his companion while he debated him: I am greater than you in wealth and mightier in manpower. [Al Quran ; 18:34]
And I do not think the hour will occur; and even if I should be returned to my Lord, I will surely find better than this as a return. [Al Quran ; 18:36]
His companion said to him while he debated him: Have you disbelieved in the One Who created you from dust then from a drop then fashioned you (as) a man? [Al Quran ; 18:37]
And why, when you entered your garden, did you not say: This is what Allah willed, there is no power except in Allah? Even if you see me lesser than you in wealth and children. [Al Quran ; 18:39]
And hopefully my Lord will give me better than your garden and send upon it a calamity from the sky, so it will become a dusty ground. [Al Quran ; 18:40]

And his produce was encompassed (by ruin), so he began to turn his hands for what he had spent on it, while it had collapsed upon its trellises, and he said: Oh, I wish that I had not associated with my Lord anyone. [Al Quran ; 18:42]
And strike for them an example of the life of this world: Like water which We send down from the sky so the plants of the earth mingle with it and it becomes dry pieces which the winds scatter. And Allah is ever over everything Capable. [Al Quran ; 18:45]
Wealth and sons are adornment of the life of this world. And the ever-lasting good deeds are better with your Lord in reward and better for hope. [Al Quran ; 18:46]
And the day when We will cause the mountains to move and you will see the earth appearing, and We will gather them so We leave not from them anyone. [Al Quran ; 18:47]
And they will be presented before your Lord in rows. (It will be said to them:) You have certainly come to Us as We created you the first time. Rather, you thought that We will not make for you an appointment. [Al Quran ; 18:48]
And the book will be placed, then you will see the criminals fearing from what is in it, and they will say: Oh, woe to us, why this book does not leave nothing small or great except that it had recorded it. And they will find what they had done present; and your Lord does not do injustice to anyone. [Al Quran ; 18:49]
And when We said to the angels: Prostrate to Adam. And they prostrated except Iblis, he was of the jinn and disobeyed the command of his Lord. Would you then take him and his descendants as guardians other than Me while they are to you an enemy? Miserable for the unjust is the exchange. [Al Quran ; 18:50]
I did not make them witness the creation of the heavens and the earth or the creation of themselves, and I am not to take the misleaders as assistants. [Al Quran ; 18:51]
And the day when He (Allah) will say: Call upon My associates whom you alleged to be. And they will call upon them, but they will not answer them. And We will make between them destruction. [Al Quran ; 18:52]
And We have certainly explained in this Quran for the people every kind of example; and the human has ever been, most of anything, disputing. [Al Quran ; 18:54]
And nothing has prevented the people to believe when guidance came to them and from asking forgiveness of their Lord except that the way of the former people come to them or that the torture come before them. [Al Quran ; 18:55]
And We did not send the messengers except as givers of good tidings and warners. And those who have disbelieved dispute by falsehood to invalidate thereby the truth and have taken My signs and that of which they are warned in ridicule. [Al Quran ; 18:56]
And who is more unjust than one who is reminded with the signs of his Lord then he turns away from them and forgets what his hands have put forth? Indeed, We have made over their hearts veils lest they understand it, and in their ears heaviness. And if you call them to guidance, then they will not be guided ever. [Al Quran ; 18:57]
And your Lord is the Forgiver, the Possessor of mercy. If He was to hold them to account for what they have earned, He would have hastened for them the torture. Rather, for them there is an appointment from which they will not find an escape. [Al Quran ; 18:58]
And when they passed by (the junction), he (Musa) said to his boy: Bring to us our lunch; we have certainly suffered in this, our journey, (much) fatigue. [Al Quran ; 18:62]
He (the boy) said: Did you see when we took refuge on the rock that I forgot the whale, and none made me forget (it) except the devil that I should mentioned it. And it took its way into the sea amazingly. [Al Quran ; 18:63]
So they set out, until when they embarked on the ship, he (the companion) made a hole in it. He (Musa) said: Have you made a hole in it to drown its people? You have certainly brought a dreadful thing. [Al Quran ; 18:71]
So they set out, until when they met a boy, so he killed him. He (Musa) said: Have you killed a pure soul for other than (having killed) a soul? You have certainly brought a horrid thing. [Al Quran ; 18:74]
So they set out, until when they came to a village from which they asked its people food, but they refused to offer them hospitality. Then they (Musa and his companion) found therein a wall which was about to collapse, so he (the companion) repaired it. He (Musa) said: If you had willed, you could have taken for it a reward. [Al Quran ; 18:77]
He (the companion) said: This is parting between me and you; I will inform you of the interpretation of that upon which you could not have patience. [Al Quran ; 18:78]
As for the ship, it belonged to poor people working at sea, and I wanted to defect it, and there was behind them a king who seized every ship by force. [Al Quran ; 18:79]
And as for the boy, his parents were believers and we (the companion and the parents) feared that he makes them tired by transgression and disbelief. [Al Quran ; 18:80]

So we (the companion and the parents) wanted that their Lord might substitute for them one better than him in purity and nearer to mercy. [Al Quran ; 18:81]
And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphaned boys in the city, and there was beneath it a treasure belonging to them, and their father was righteous; so your Lord wanted that they reach maturity and extract their treasure, as a mercy from your Lord; and I did not do it according to my command. That is the interpretation of that about which you could not have patience. [Al Quran ; 18:82]
Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it (as if) setting in a muddy spring and found near it (the spring) a people. We (Allah) said: O Zul-Qarnayn! Either you torture (them) or else take among them goodness. [Al Quran ; 18:86]
He (Zul-Qarnayn) said: As for one who has done injustice, we will torture him, then he will be returned to his Lord; and He will castigate him with a horrid torture. [Al Quran ; 18:87]
And as for one who has believed and done good deed, for him is the reward of goodness, and we (Zul-Qarnayn) will say to him from Our command with ease. [Al Quran ; 18:88]
They said: O Zul-Qarnayn! Indeed, Yagog and Magog are mischief makers in the land. So may we make for you an exit that you might make between us and them a dam? [Al Quran ; 18:94]
He (Zul-Qarnaan) said: What my Lord has established me over is better, so help me with strength, (and) I will make between you and them a bank. [Al Quran ; 18:95]
Bring me blocks of iron; until, when he had levelled between the two hills, he said: Blow, until when he had made it (like) fire, he said: Bring me, that I may pour over it molten brass. [Al Quran ; 18:96]
He (Zul-Qarnayn) said: This is a mercy from my Lord; and when the promise of my Lord comes, He will make it levelled. And ever is the promise of my Lord true. [Al Quran ; 18:98]
And We will leave some of them on that day surge against others; and the trumpet will be blown, so We will gather them in gathering. [Al Quran ; 18:99]
Do those who have disbelieved think that they can take My servants other than Me as guardians? Indeed, We have prepared hell for the unbelievers as a lodging. [Al Quran ; 18:102]
It is them who have disbelieved in the signs of their Lord and in His meeting, so their deeds have become nullified, and We will not establish for them on the day of resurrection any weight. [Al Quran ; 18:105]
Say: If the sea was ink for the words of my Lord, the sea would have been exhausted before the words of my Lord are exhausted, even if We were to bring the like of it (the sea) as a supplement. [Al Quran ; 18:109]
Say: I am only a human like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is one God, so whoever hopes for the meeting of his Lord, he should do good deed and not associate in the worship of His Lord anyone. [Al Quran ; 18:110]
